CAMPAGNOLO ERGOPOWER: PRO EDITION
Due to demand from pro riders, Campagnolo has produced a limited run of special edition Ergopower shifters for the 2008 season.
According to Campag, the pros wanted a shifter that required harder effort and a more definite 'click' when changing gear. Indeed, the only component that differs from the standard Record 10-speed units is the spring mechanism. And the red writing on the units themselves that sets them apart.
Unless you're signed to a professional team, you are highly unlikely to be able to get hold of the limited edition shifters - they won't be on sale to the public. We think that this is a shame. Cycling has always been the most accessible sport, where any rider (cash allowing) can get hold of exactly the same technology as the professionals. We demand the choice!
